Awkward Stories for Adults opens at the Hamilton Fringe Festival this Friday!

Awkward Stories for Adults is a cringeworthy adventure into the world of Tor and Lisa, two socially awkward artists. A hybridization of dance, music, and storytelling, Awkward Stories for Adults explores the world of Sublime Embarrassment.

Lisa Pijuan Nomura met Tor Lukasik-Foss when she moved to Hamitlon seven years ago. Tor told her the location of Bonanza Subs, where to get a decent custard tart, and who not to trust in the city. Lisa in turn explained to Tor about magical cities outside of Hamilton's border of which Tor had never heard. Mostly they talked about performing and art, and diabolical ways the two could combine.

And just to make things awkward they have welcomed a third artist to collaborate with them, the wonderfully awkward Andrew Gaboury.

Awkwardness is the great leveller--it brings together young and old, rich and poor, happy and sad, and humbles them all. This show is therefore for everyone, except for maybe kids who balk at the odd swear word, and adults who have difficulty laughing at their failures, or people who abhor a messy kitchen.
